Read It Again Challenge

I used to re-read books all the time. But as more and more books have interested me, I find that there are just too many books out there that I haven't read yet for me to go back and re-read old favorites. At this point, I don't usually even keep my fiction books once I've read them because it's likely I will never read them again. However, with non-fiction, I'm more likely to keep them - either to read again or for reference on a favorite topic.

Reading is for fun, for pleasure, a hobby. Sure I want to read a lot of books that I've never read before. But there are books that I've already read that I would like to read again. And there's nothing wrong with re-reading a book. After all, the whole point is to enjoy it. And with non-fiction, I can even learn things, whether I've read the book before or not. Sometimes re-reading a book can refresh my memory and encourage me.

So... I'm setting a personal challenge to myself to re-read some of my old favorites. I'm not putting a time limit on it. For myself, I hope to try and re-read at least 4-6 during a year. I have between 30-40 books I want to re-read, so that will take me close to 10 years. :-)

Here's some of the books I want to re-read:

Debi -- I've re-read 12 books for this year which was my goal. Do I declare myself completed and re-up for another round at another time?

Thanks

Sure, you can do it however you'd like. Congrats on meeting your goal?

Is this challenge a perpetual one?

Yes, it's perpetual, no time limit.

I re-read as a normal part of my life so I didn't sign up. Also, I don't have a "list" of books I want to re-read, I usually just go to my shelves and look around.

I have re-read 16 print books so far this year (most of a series)
