Flawless by Joshua SpanogleMy review
rating: 4 of 5 stars
Pretty good suspense thriller - long though. I didn't realize it was over 500 pages. But it was a pretty quick read. Dr. Nate McCormick, a public health doctor in between jobs, finds himself embroiled in a mystery when an old friend of his contacts him and then is murdered shortly afterward. On the hunt to find out why his friend was murdered, he finds his own life in danger and must keep a step ahead to keep from getting killed. The main character must come to grips with himself and his own dark side as he battles those who would silence him.
I found out about this author through one of the Medical Mystery Madness challenges when someone had Isolation Ward on their to-read list. I also have Isolation Ward on my booksfree list to read even though technically it takes place before Flawless. There was humor scattered throughout this book as well, which made it kind of fun along with the suspense that kept the pages turning. There were some gruesome parts in relation to how people were murdered, so not recommended for the faint of heart. Overall, I would recommend this for those who like suspense thrillers and medical thrillers. A 4/5 rating
