I have a lot of books. A lot. We are moving soon and we haven't moved in almost 10 years so the accumulation is quite significant. We went through our shelves and got rid of over 12 bags of books. But we still have a lot of books left. That have to be boxed up and moved.
The upside is that I will be able to re-organize my shelves at the new place. That is always a fun project for me as I love to organize my books. I may take this opportunity to list out the books I have to make sure that my master library list is accurate and update my LibraryThing catalog. Any tips on moving with lots of book boxes?

When we moved last year, I'm convinced that 80% of our boxes were full of books! I labeled all of the boxes and it was books, books, books!

My tip is to hire someone to do the work. I have 1,800 and have moved several times with them. On my last move I has 100 boxes - 50 were books, 40 were kitchen items and 10 were the only stuff I really need.
