Booksigning & Library Book Sale

Saturday was a bookish-filled day, which makes for a nice weekend. A friend and I got together and tried out a new restaurant - The Original Pancake House - yummy! Their pancakes are delicious and I also had an omelette, which was baked and was huge. Then we headed to the Family Christian Stores for an author booksigning.
Jill Eileen Smith is the author of the wives of King David series. I knew she would be coming for a booksigning, so I got the first book Michal from my local library to read at least part of before meeting her. With being sick earlier in the week, I actually finished the book in just a few days - great take on the life of Michal from the Bible. So I was looking forward to meeting her and picking up the next 2 books in the series, Abigail and Bathsheba (which was just released). After browsing for a bit, I picked up a few books along with Abigail and Bathsheba and got Bathsheba signed. The other books I got were:
Read the Bible for Life by George Guthrie
A Woman of Confidence by Pam Farrel
You Are My Hiding Place, Lord by Emilie Barnes
A Woman's Heart that Dances by Catherine Martin

Then my friend and I headed to my local library that was having a Friends of the Library book sale. I walked out of there with 11 books for only $7.25. All in all, a good day.
