The Accidental Bride by Denise Hunter

The Accidental BrideThe Accidental Bride by Denise Hunter

The plot line involving a marriage of convenience or accidental marriage where the couple decides to pretend to continue the marriage is a plot line that I find intriguing. I absolutely loved The Convenient Groom by Denise Hunter so was eager to read The Accidental Bride which seemed to be a similar idea but with a different twist.

I was not disappointed. The characters are well developed and easy to relate to. At times you wanted to shake them to make them wake up and see what was in front of them.

Denise Hunter has a way of writing romance that draws you in. I love her descriptions. This was another out-of-the park drama/romance.

*I received this e-book for free from the publisher in exchange for my review.

This is the first book I've finished in a while and it's fiction as well. The last fiction book that I finished was Nick of Time by Tim Downs back in October.

Temporary Reading Hiatus

I have temporarily lost interest in reading, or at least don't have much of a desire to read these days. I think it may partly be due to burnout from my huge reading year last year. In any case, I have only completed 2 books so far this year and we are already into February.

Not too discouraged though, as this year is not so much about the numbers but about what I read. I have already given up on 2 of my 12 in 2012, though I may try them again at a later time. Another of my 12 in 2012 I ended up perusing rather than reading the whole thing.

On the other hand, my Bible reading has continued in spite of my reading lull. I am making good progress through the Genres Reading Plan that I started last July. I read through the book of Proverbs in January in the NET Bible and am working my way through 2 Corinthians this month hopefully twice (currently in the NET Bible and then again in the NIV). Our church just started a Sunday School class on the book of Hebrews which I'm looking forward to going through together.

My husband and I have been enjoying watching through the TV series of Criminal Minds. We just finished Season 3. So that has been occupying my time somewhat while I wait for my reading desire to return.
